CLAIRE BECKER

Claire Becker, multidisciplinary artist with more than twenty years of career as a sculptor. She studied plastic arts, music, theater, literature and dance.

She left France, her native country, at the age of 22 for a dance scholarship in New York City and has lived in Mexico since 1997.

She has participated in more than 100 exhibitions and art fairs in various countries in Europe (such as the Venice Biennale in 2009), Asia, America and Australia.

She has presented 26 individual exhibitions, the majority in galleries and museums in Mexico. Several of her public works are in Xalapa and Boca del Río, Veracruz.

Her works are part of important private collections and museums such as Museo de la Cancillería, Museo de la Mujer and Museo del Arzobispado, in Mexico City.
