IRMA PALACIOS

Born in Iguala, Guerrero in 1943. She studied at the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving “La Esmeralda”, of the INBA, where she attended the free workshop of maestro Reyes Haro.

During the years 1973 and 1979 she tried to learn everything from the academy, she mainly exploited his research in pictorial materials… until she found her language, in her canvases the material and the color of Spanish informalism predominated.

She was distinguished with scholarships as the Simon Guggenheim and the National System of Creators, in addition to having received the award of the first issue of the Rufino Tamayo Painting Biennial. She has exhibited in various museums in Mexico, the United States, Chile, and Europe. Special guest to the Arab Emirate.
