RICARDO FERNÁNDEZ ORTEGA

Born in 1971 in Durango, Ricardo Fernández Ortega showed artistic skills from a very young age. Later on, Fernández attended Visual Arts at the Sculpture and Crafts Painting School of Juárez University in the State of Durango.

Ricardo Fernández is a Mexican surrealist painter who fuses a classic style with modern painting. Fernández positions the female figure in Imaginary spaces, provoking a dialogue about the erotic, intimate and domestic aspects of women’s roles in society. So far he has exhibited his works individually on thirteen occasions.
