VÍCTOR HUGO CASTAÑEDA

Born in La Palma, Michoacán, Mexico, on August 30, 1947; currently he has been living in Cuernavaca, Morelos for 30 years.

From an early age, the sculptor has been involved with art, since he comes from a family of sculptors and cabinetmakers. In his childhood, his favorite hobby was drawing. Unconsciously, he showed the gifts of a good draftsman and his taste for the female figure. 

In 1969 he began to work with internationally renowned Masters; and began his artistic career at the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving “La Esmeralda” of the National Institute Of Fine Arts in Mexico City. Since then, the artist has dedicated his life to sculpture; He has collaborated with other artists of international stature. Since 1972 he has exhibited individually and collectively, impacting the artistic world with his work.
