Julio Martínez, originally from Amecameca, State of Mexico, has been painting for over 30 years and has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions in galleries and museums across the country. He has received several awards, including the Premio estatal de la juventud, the contest Royal Talens, and the Rubén Herrera biennal in Saltillo, Coahulia.
His work presents a personal vision of everyday characters coexisting with animals in unusual situations, resulting in an aesthetic interplay between the visual language of each painting and the viewer’s perception.
